CANSIM is Statistics Canada’s key socioeconomic database, providing fast and easy access to a large range of the latest statistics available in Canada.

With Cansim (Canadian Socio-economic Information Management System) you can generate customized, authoritative statistical tables on a range of Canadian topics including labour force activity, industry output, international trade and the populations' health. Depending on the information you want, you will find numbers for an area as general all of Canada or as specific as a section of a province.

You can access Cansim for free from the Statistics Canada homepage. You can also get to it from the 'Federal Stats and Data' tab in the RRU library’s ‘Statistics and Data’ guide
