The RRU Bookstore is open for online sales and responding to phone and email requests. Bookstore staff are available 8:30–3:30 Monday to Friday.

  • Pickup service is available for local students. Please place your order online and choose the pickup option. We will contact you when your order is ready and arrange a pickup time.

Update: Loan periods returning to normal

To accommodate lockdown protocols during the first stage of the COVID-19 pandemic, we extended the due dates on all print books on loan from our regular collection. Now that we have entered the third phase of reopening in BC, we are returning to the 4-week loan period for regular-collection print books so that they can circulate as normal again.

Please note: Some books may be on hold for other library users who may have been waiting for months to borrow those items. Books on hold cannot be renewed and overdue fines will begin to accrue if they are not returned on time.

  • Borrow: Get books from our print collection shipped to your home return-postage-paid through our document delivery service
  • Renew: Renew your library books online. If you experience any difficulties renewing books, please email
  • Return: Local students and faculty may return items through the book return slot, located at the Library’s main doors (the Library building remains closed). Books can also returned by mail.

Interlibrary loan

  • Interlibrary loan requests for print books cannot be filled until further notice, due to ongoing disruptions to library operations nationally and internationally. We look forward to supporting this service again when it becomes possible.
  • Interlibrary loan of digital materials is still available, although requests may be fulfilled more slowly than usual.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
