Covid-19 Response

Curbside pick up of Library and Bookstore materials is available Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm. RRU Library staff are available to support you online Monday–Saturday. We appreciate your understanding and offer you ours as we navigate the constraints that the pandemic places on us all.

Borrowing books

Get books from our print collection shipped to your home return-postage-paid through our document delivery service. Curbside pick up is also available by appointment for local students and faculty.

  • The standard 4-week loan period for regular-collection print books is in effect.
  • If you find a print book you'd like to borrow, please let us know. We'll schedule a time for you to safely pick up your book on campus, or arrange to mail it to your home address.
  • Renew your library books online. If you experience any difficulties renewing books, please email circlib@royalroads.ca. Books placed on hold by another user cannot be renewed.
  • Local students and faculty may return items through the book return slot, located at the Library’s main doors (the Library building remains closed). Books can also returned by mail.
  • The community borrowing program is on pause at this time. We look forward to welcoming community borrowers again soon.

Interlibrary loan of print and digital materials is available. Please note:

  • Availability is dependent on the operational capacities of other institutions. Therefore, we may be unable to source certain materials at this time.
  • Requests may be fulfilled more slowly than usual.

As always, the Library will make every effort to source your interlibrary loan requests where possible.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
