Advising students on privacy and personal information

Major projects, theses, and any student papers submitted to DSpace must conform not only to copyright law, but also to privacy legislation.  Please see the 'Privacy Information Basics' pages on the Copyright Office website.

All personal information must be removed from the thesis, major project or paper.  This includes such information as personal email addresses, addresses, telephone numbers, etc.  Also, signatures cannot be published, so these must be removed before the work is sent to Library and Archives Canada, submitted for publication, or uploaded to the DSpace repository or any other website.
