Building your search

Research can help fill in your information gaps by:

  • Providing you with an overview, if you are new to a topic
  • Providing you with background information to inform what you already know
  • Helping you make connections between information and your ideas
  • Broadening your perspective by making you aware of a range of views
  • Offering context (historical or current)

Once you have completed your research, you should have enough quality resources, from a variety of sources, to write your assignment.
